Wow. This hasn't been added to in a while. Well, I'm full tilt into working on my comprehensive report and presentation, which is going to be during the week of Dec. 4-8. No concrete date yet. Looking forward to getting it over with and flying back to Abbotsford for Christmas. :)

Regarding weather, it has been funky as usual. Last week was amazing with mild -2 weather, but now we are running at about -20 plus a nasty 10 degree wind chill. No reason to go outside, so I won't.

The winter ended today. For the past week, there have been sub-zero temperatures and snow on the ground, but the thermometer skyrocketed 10 degrees from -2 yesterday. I don't think I've ever seen all the snow disappear overnight. I feel sorry for myself if I end up going to grad school out east.

I have now moved the site over to the Laplace machine, after finding out that my lovely free hosting prize was only for 3 months (2 of which are up), and mysteriously getting locked out of my account. This should make future updates much simpler. That doesn't mean there will actually be more. :)

You know, I really like the American law that presidents are only allowed to occupy the office for only two terms. No matter how much you think it is the wrong decision, you really can't get upset when a poor leader is re-elected (*cough* Chretien). Actually, I should correct that. I have absolutely no idea what kind of leader George W. Bush is. There could be compelling, yet super-secret reasons for what he does. I just get extremely irritated watching him lie on TV. He really needs to learn to make his facial expressions less overt. This is what figureheads are for; they can lie without realizing it.

I don't write new pieces of news very often and I plan to continue that trend, since I should be studying for the Physics GRE, and not embellishing my webpage. Oh yeah, yesterday I found out that Canada DOES have its own Tokamak fusion reactor...in Saskatoon! I realize I shouldn't be critical of their population, since Abbotsford is smaller, but I think I'm allowed to mock their low altitude deviation value.

I accidentally tuned in to the closing ceremonies today. I have hardly been watching any Olympics since after my wisdom teeth were removed. It is interesting, though. Almost every time I turned it on, something unexpected happened. Those games must be full of controversy and surprises.

Larissa, Mom, and I went to see The Merry Wives of Windsor at Bard on the Beach today. It was very well done, but I didn't find the plot terribly interesting. It's really hard to get into it too, with those cramped seating arrangements.

I accidentally held a sneeze in yesterday, and I ate chips today, both of which I am not allowed to do for one month. It doesn't FEEL like any harm was done, but people can't feel when they have cancer either.

They actually charged me for extracting the extra buds I have, so I feel justified in saying that I had 6 wisdom teeth removed. This gives me mutant status, since I started with 34 total. When I told Jess, he quipped, "Isn't evolution going the other way?"

It was amazingly painless. The freezing lasted about 12 hours. I woke up at 3 am Saturday morning and my chin was still numb. Getting your brace wires changed is more painful, and newly installed elastics are FAR worse. Today is when the swelling started to abade.

I've spent the last three days just watching the Athens Olympics. It's too bad they just do swimming at the beginning. I want to watch other sports too. The fireworks during the opening ceremonies off of the Olympic stadium were really cool. They easily rivaled the Eiffel tower ones at New Year's 2000.

I stayed home from work the past two days to prevent everyone from contracting my not-very-bad cold. I was extremely productive, changing the function part of my program to a plugin architecture. It's feels rather silly, only being at work for one day before I have to leave again tomorrow for my wisdom teeth extraction. Although I must say, I hope I'm as productive with giant holes in my gums as I am with head colds, since I have to use that time to practice for my scholarship interview.
